HOME WORK LOAD STRESSES PARENTS AND CHILDREN
Some schools demand high academic performance on top of other activities.
Schools tend to assume that children’s world is happy simple and care free.
Psychologists say today’s children and parents do get stressed.Schools going children in particular do suffer a lot of academic stress coupled with that from the home environment and parents from work.
Research has shown that over burdening a child with home work and tests stresses them up and are the biggest loss of interest in schooling altogether.

Many school systems give the children huge amounts of work and weekend assignments that take up the entire child’s extra time and the parent because home work is done by both children and parents.
Children end up getting stressed and losing interest in their class work and their for dropping in performance.
Sharon Namubiru a teacher at Kings choice junior school Vumba says exams create tension and this is likely to build stress in children at an early age.
Teachers therefore put pressure on children to meet their expectations and in the process,also children carry the pressure to the shoulders of parents, asking them so many questions ,which parents don’t even recall.
Jaydon Lusiba a primary teacher recommends that teachers should assume that a child gets proper rest and diet to help increase their skills of coping with stress.
If it is boarding school,teachers should insist on the children going to bed early.He says that ‘A well rested child is a much more relaxed child’
Kamuli a parent requested that teachers should stop giving home work to children because it is oneway of embarrassing them[parents] after failing to attempt and guide children because some parents did not go to school.
Students are being punished for failing to do home work.
